Terms and Conditions

By subscribing to the monthly membership of I am Local (the supplier), you (the client) agree to abide by these terms and conditions. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and I am Local.

1. Membership Details

  • Joining Fee: R250
  • Membership Type: Annual Membership
  • Monthly Fee: R250 or
  • Annual Fee: R2 750

2. Payment Terms

Payments are due on the 1st of each Month or the 1st of the following month when the annual membership expires. Late payments may be subjected to the following:

  • A notification will be sent out notifying that the debit order process has failed and an alternative payment option through a secure payment gateway will be available.
  • A grace period of 7 days will be given to failed debit orders, in order for an individual to manually pay for their monthly membership fee.
  • Upon receipt of payment within the grace period of 7 days the membership will continue. The next debit order will then commence on the 1st of the following month.
  • Failure to comply with the 7-day grace period, without any prior payment arrangements, will result in your I am local services being put on hold until payment has been received.

Subject to none payment within the first month, the following month will commence with the regular R250 membership fee and your annual membership will be extended with one month. Late payment of two consecutive months may be subjected to the following:

  • A notification will be sent out notifying that the debit order process has failed for a second time and an alternative payment option through a secure payment gateway will be made available.
  • A grace period of 5 days will be given to your second failed debit order, in order for an individual to manually pay for their monthly membership.
  • Upon payment within the grace period of 5 days, the membership will continue. The next debit order will then commence on the 1st of the following month.
  • Failure to comply with the 5-day grace period, without any prior payment arrangements, will result in the suspension of your I am local services and the Termination and Cancellation clause, as stated in clause 4 below.

3. Membership Duration and Renewal

Memberships are offered on an annual basis.

Memberships will automatically renew unless cancelled by either party in accordance with the termination clause.

4. Termination and Cancellation

Either party may terminate the membership with a 30-day written notice.

Members may cancel their membership after their annual fee of R3000 has been paid in full. Cancellation fees may apply.

5. Client Responsibilities

Members are responsible for providing accurate information for their directory listings.

6. Privacy Policy

7. Intellectual Property

Members retain ownership of their business-related content. I am Local may use the content to promote the directory.

8. Limitation of Liability

I am Local will not be held liable for any innacurate information showcased on the I Am Local directory provided by a business or individual. We do not guarantee the success or performance of any business or individual listed on the directory.

9. Modifications to Terms

I am Local reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions. Changes will be communicated through email.

10. Agreement Acknowledgment

By subscribing to the I am Local membership, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions as stated above.

11. Effective Date

These terms and conditions will take effect on the 1st of the following month after joining the I Am Local directory.
